Supervision of water cooling tower assembly
Supervision of water cooling tower assembly performed by AMG.
Supervision of cooling tower assembly is a critical step to ensure that the equipment operates with thermal efficiency, structural safety, and a long service life.
What is assembly supervision?
This is specialized technical support during tower installation, ensuring everything is assembled according to:
Technical project
Manufacturer's manual
Good engineering practices
Supervision steps
1. Site preparation
Main checks:
Leveled and correctly dimensioned concrete base
Available electrical point
Aligned piping (water inlet/outlet)
Space for future maintenance
2. Structural assembly
The supervisor ensures:
Correct fixing of panels (fiberglass, steel, or FRP)
Tightening of screws with adequate torque
Correct sealing (prevents air/water leaks)
Direct impact on thermal efficiency
3. Installation of internal components
Critical components:
Filling (honeycomb) → heat exchange
Dripple eliminator → prevents water carryover
Distribution system (nozzles or trays)
If poorly installed, the tower loses efficiency immediately
4. Mechanical system (ventilation)
Items Supervised:
Shaft alignment
Propeller mounting (balancing)
Motor/gearbox installation
Problems here = vibration, noise, and breakage
5. Testing and commissioning
Essential tests:
Motor operation
Vibration
Water flow rate
Temperature (inlet x outlet)
Noise
